JANINE COSTA
Peruvian native Janine has felt passion for photography ever since she discovered it while living in California during the year of 1993. Years go by and she moves to Mexico where she would then study in the EAF (Escuela Activa de Fotograf’ia) while at the same time managing to study Communication Sciences at the University of Queretaro. Now back in Peru she currently collaborates with several media pubications in the country as well as outside. Her work has been exposed both in Lima and Queretaro and is currently preparing other International exhibitions.
Her art is quite varied and in the techniques she tends to apply we can find the use of b/w, texturization and even a certain taste for abstraction. Her favorite objects of study are nudity, landscapes and urbanismo.
In 2008 along with Alejandra Devescovi, she created her own company: MMT Photography, and in 2009 she opened D76, the first gallery in Lima dedicated only to photography.
